Rower Proposes to Girlfriend at Regatta Winners Circle

A rower in the men’s championship at the Royal St. John’s Regatta chose what he saw as the ideal time and place to pop the question to his girlfriend: The Winners Circle during the medal presentation.

Brad White, a member of the Capital Home Hardware crew, including now-fiancé Dana Reid, got down on bended knee and opened up the box with cameras rolling.

Brad, who’s 29, has been rowing since the age of 13. He says when Dana came into his life a few years ago, she learned what the Regatta is all about.

Dana did not hesitate, she knew she was going to say yes whenever he asked the question.
